SADPA – South African Defensive Pistol Association is shooting sport in South Africa with its own rules and regulations.

The sport started within South Africa in May 2001 and has grown to an active 1000 odd shooters in 46 active clubs shooting over 300 matches a year. It is geared for easy entry to a novice shooter with NSO (New Shooter Orientations) provided to facilitate easy and safe participation for all levels of shooters.
We cater for Multi-Gun shoots (Handgun / Shotgun / Semi-Auto Rifles) and are an officially SAPS / CFR recognized dedicated sport shooting body.

One of the unique facets of this sport is that it is geared toward the new or average shooter, yet is fun, challenging and rewarding for the experienced shooter. The founders developed the sport so that practical gear and practical guns may be used competitively.

An interested person can spend a minimal amount on equipment and still be competitive.
The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, not equipment or gamesmanship. “Competition only” equipment is not permitted in this sport.

The 3-Gun Nation Club Series provides an opportunity for shooters of all skill levels to compete with each other on a international level at their local club with three shooting platforms, pistol, rifle and shotgun. 3GN does this through the use of Classifier stages and a international database. Once a classifier has been shot and scores submitted, individual members will receive a designated ranking for their skill level. At this point they will be able to compete with other shooters in their particular class across the country and internationally.

ICORE

International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE) combines elements of the Bianchi Cup, IPSC, and the Steel Challenge into demanding competition exclusively for revolvers
